Sofia Touboura presents an installation at the garden of Elika Gallery, referring to the autumn equinox. Using meanings and symbolisms that tent to be attributed to it, but subverting the negativity traditionally attached to it and instead approaching it through positivity: harvesting, end, death, internal start of a new phase of the life cycle, inwardness, endoscopy, seeding, conceiving.
Large dimension prints on fabric, perspex glass, metal and clay sculptures create an environment calling the visitor to feel at home in the garden and experience the point of intersection between nature and urban industrial civilisation.
At the same time, the second solo show of Jack Burton will take place in the interior space of the gallery.
