With Under my Mother's Roof, Kubrak elevates the overlooked materials of domestic life to include bread, ceramics, brick, and family images to question how value is assigned, who is seen and the forms of labour remain unacknowledged.

During a 7-week research residency which started in November, Kubrak  explored the relationship between craft and design through traditional and experimental approaches and materials while drawing upon the art, culture and legacy of Greece.​

A recent graduate of Parson's (NY) Product Design Program, Kubrak approaches craft as an embodied way of making that carries cultural, historical, ecological, and social significance.
