The Turkish invasion of Cyprus in 1974 created a long list of missing persons. Initially the number of missing persons was 1.619 Greeks and Cypriots. These were mainly or only military and civilians , including women and children, either arrested by the Turkish invasion forces during July and August 1974, or disappeared after battles or long after the end of hostilities, and are up to today missing ...
For 44 whole years!
But time is slowly and tortuously passing for the hundreds of relatives who are waiting for some news ... An evolution ... An "end" that will redeem them from the expectation of four decades and a few years.
The why ... unanswered. Queries ... dozens. The pain ... unbearable. The absence, given!
For the mother who lost her child.
For the woman who lost her man.
For the child who lost his father.
