The program p o s t documenta: contemporary arts as territorial agencies presents an exhibition in two parts in Leipzig and Athens. Titled Are we not plunging continually?, the project connects the independent art space nyg|west and the LindeNOW#17 Festival of independent art spaces in West Leipzig with Circuits & Currents, the project space of the Athens School of Fine Arts. Participating emerging artists from the Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig and the ASFA in Athens present works that developed through workshops with artists Mylasher (Leipzig) and Hypercomf (Athens), together with other individual projects. They investigate the fragile structures of the post-pandemic context, both in the urban space and in the natural surroundings of Leipzig and Athens, in an attempt to explore the conditions of extended artistic practices in two different places and to develop affinities and connections.
p o s t documenta: contemporary arts as territorial agencies is an educational and artistic research program by the Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig (HGB) and the Athens School of Fine Arts (ASFA), and a DAAD project in the funding program „University Partnerships with Greece from 2020–2022“.
