HIN’s ELLADA 2.0 confronts the satirical yet sobering current state of contemporary Greece in a world that constantly reinvents itself through the commodification of culture and identity.
This exhibition navigates the glamorous world of gentrification, neoliberal absurdities, and a juxtaposition of traditional and globalized trends.
Drawing from Greek culture and stereotypes, as well as historical narratives and parables, HIN’s multimedia installation features neon works, embroideries, and ceramics, standing alongside papier-mâché sculptures, oversized familiar objects, and a live performance. It creates a disorienting, immersive, and whimsical distraction, inviting the viewer into some critical thinking.
