The show is a mix between a re-proposition of older works  and some new ones created ad hoc for the apartment space of the exhibition.

 

"As Elena once described to me, each of her paintings from the series "On The Phone Doing The Laundry" are 100% automatic. This means that these are the result of moments when the mind wanders elsewhere. Most of them have been produced during long phone calls. They are the fruit of an unconscious which combines the reality of a conversation with material images dreamt throughout the flow of words. Incidentally, she wrote me during one of our exchanges: "I consider my subconscious found material as well." Georgia René-Worms
