In the context of Kilim Hub @vahahubs, Yellow Brick continues its series of care practices with a walking workshop and tasting facilitated by Vasiliki Sifostratoudaki on the topic of migration.

A workshop on oral history, dedicated to researching and sharing migration stories with the inhabitants of Nea Ionia. Nea Ionia has continuously received migrants since its incorporation in 1923 through the Treaty of Lausanne. What flavours remind us of home? Have you ever cooked a dish when you were homesick? What is your favourite taste? Does it have a flavour that reminds you of home? If your memories of belonging had a flavour, what would it be?

We will walk around Nea Ionia together and visit landmarks and stores to learn more about the history. The 3rd generation of immigrants from Asia Minor will share their stories and some of the flavours of the region.
