"Golden Years - Surprise Pink" A slide show with music by Markus Krottendorfer, recent participant of "in athens - Austrian Artist Residency"

Hovering between photography and film, the performative slideshows by Markus Krottendorfer, juxtapose his photographs of everyday places like bus terminals, fish markets or shopping malls with those of locations where symbolic power accumulates, such as military bases or financial centers. Parts of material presented this evening has been produced during the extensive residency stay of the artist in Athens during the summer of 2017. Krottendorfer's artistic practice combines documentary strategies and fictitious speculation, exploring the sometimes fluid boundaries of applied photography. And last but not least, Krottendorfer will share with us a tribute to Athens' postmodern architecture of the 80's and early 90's.
