Philip Rizk is a filmmaker and writer based in Cairo, Egypt. His first film is the short documentary "This Palestinian Life” (2009) premiered at the London International Film Festival. In 2010 Rizk completed the short film series “Sturm”, a two channel articulation that explores rural and industrial ruin in Egypt featured at IFFR. With Jasmina Metwaly he directed the feature film “Out on the Street,” that premiered at the Berlinale in 2015. He is a member of the Mosireen video collective.
